The Olympic Flame Diner is just down the street.0:51This is Lisa Reinhart Fenn-Gordenstein. She was drawn in March of 2003. Her drawing is counting nine people.1:01Lisa Reinhart Fenn-Gordenstein was drawn standing on 10th Avenue outside of the Duane Reade.1:08All of our photographs of her only confirmed how important it is to spend the time to give her an appropriate amount of hair.1:15hair. Longish hair does not come quickly. To make hair, a piece of tape is torn vertically1:20into tiny little strips. Sometimes, to make the hair and put it on takes as long as drawing1:26the entire figure. That is a major contributing factor to why the renditions of the firemen1:31can be done rather expediently. Andrew drew their hair, I drew the figure, and Adriana1:36took the photographs. I will admit that on this particular stretch, the acceptometer1:41meter was registering rather low. When I move around the corner, things turn 180 degrees.1:46We never lie about what we were doing, but when a Duane Reade worker came out to ask Adriana why1:51she was taking pictures of the building, she just told him the manager had said it was all right.1:56A misunderstanding. She thought I had talked to the manager. That started between the two of us2:02accidentally served a purpose, splendidly. Lisa Reinhart Fenn Gordenstein had a way of doing things to2:08to make the people in her life feel special,2:10whether it was branding them with silly nicknames2:12or slipping motivational notes under an office door.2:15She was traveling on business on American Airlines Flight 112:18on the day of the attacks,2:20but before she left her home in Needham, Mass. at 5 a.m.,2:23she insisted on waking her two daughters,2:25Samantha, [unclear], and Carly, [unclear], and kissing them goodbye.2:29Thank God she did, her husband said.2:31The night before, Mr. Gordonstein found a note2:34that his wife had slipped under his office door.2:38about maintaining a positive attitude no matter what happens in life.← Location 244Heart Three · Location 245Location 246 →
