The drawing that we made was to the left of the decorative street lamp0:18out of flowers arranged on the grass0:22halfway between that lamp and the first large tree. This lawn0:27overlooks Belvedere Castle.0:31This is Susan A Mackay. She was drawn in June of 2003. Her drawing is counting 10 people.0:43In the wintertime, this spot is blocked off from the destructive stomping power of the0:49Boot Nation. Fences are put up to keep people out and the perimeters are carefully guarded.0:55When the snow reaches a certain height, the snow-covered fields are opened up to cross-country skiers and the like.1:03We had acknowledged that this is the space we wanted to draw on during the winter, and the preceding spring brought our return.1:12The medium given to us are the quick-growing, ubiquitous white flowers that sprout up in tight families throughout the freshly cut grass.1:20Romantic notions were fulfilled.1:22filled. I got to spend a pleasant day surrounded by people that I love, picking flowers and1:28ferrying them in my shirt to draw an image of someone whom I cared about and share my1:34energies with others who had come to the park to relax and experience good things. It took1:41a considerable amount of time for a team of people to gather and place all these flowers,1:45but there were no watches to be found, only the subtle shifting of a setting sun.1:58Susan A Mackay was best known for her warm smile and had a personality that added to the culture of the company.2:04She worked as an assistant vice president of merchandise planning and allocation,2:08and had been with TJX for 11 years.2:11McKay was married and had two children.2:13children. She just had a way of bringing people together in the company. She was very respected.2:19She loved the travel part of the job and had been looking forward to this California trip2:24all summer.
