The food is pretty cheap.1:15We have no heating, electricity, or water bills.1:18We have only the distractions that Providence can bring, which can be1:22insurmountable, but we have the discipline to fight it. We can only get1:27this project done because we live in Rhode Island. Economics and focus. It is1:35not a funded affair and if we did not have the lives we chose, it wouldn't be1:39done. I have on two different occasions moved down to New York City and on both1:45occasions found that I had everything I need and more right back in Providence.1:51But oddly enough we are getting to know Manhattan more intimately than we know1:56Providence. I can recall more surfaces, streets, bizarre experiences, doorways, and2:03street signs in Manhattan than I can in my hometown. When this project is done2:08I'll get back to knowing the world around me a lot better.2:13Jean Destrehan Roger was raised in Longmeadow, Massachusetts,2:18where she was a golfer and champion swimmer in high school.2:21She graduated from Penn State with a degree in environmental science.2:25But after a family friend told her about the joys of being a flight attendant,2:28Roger applied for the job two years ago.2:31She loved it, the work, the schedule.2:34It really suited her lifestyle, her father said.← Location 343Heart Three · Location 344Location 345 →
