I grew up in New York City and been involved with this project for a few years now.1:13I've been around for a good section of the drawings and a good deal of the off-site computer work and other support work.1:23My name is Jay Zengelblatt, and I've had a hand in a great deal of the drawings that we're going to be talking about today.1:32We are in Central Park, and we are just north of the main lawn, the center of Central Park.1:40and there are no walls anywhere.1:43So this drawing was made of the materials that we collected1:47from flowers, things that fall from the tree, grass,1:51and we drew this person right here on the grass.1:54It was a seasonal drawing.1:56You said it was a seasonal drawing?1:58It was a seasonal drawing.1:58It's funny because Mike made mention of the flowers2:01and things that had been around at the time,2:03and right now it's just green, so it's a little bit hard to imagine,2:06but the drawing had been composed of these really beautiful yellow flowers and leaves that had fallen from the trees.2:12And we stitched them together.2:14I don't know if that's in bounds to say.2:16But yeah, we braided the organic matter at hand to collage a figure out of the elements.2:27But he did not let his schedule interfere with his family life.2:30He still found time to coach his son Franklin's baseball and basketball teams2:36And when his youngest daughter, Allison, developed a brain tumor as a child, Mr. Ross and a friend2:42formed a foundation, the Brain Tumor Society, to provide information and support.← Location 345Heart Four · Location 346Location 347 →
