She was drawn in July of 2004. Her drawing is counting one person.0:46Why is this not a memorial? And if it's not a memorial, what is it?0:50it. When this whole thing started to unfold, 2001, 2002, the term memorial was without thought used1:00to describe it because the act of it was in memoriam. So inevitably, in memoriam by process1:08equals memorial by product. But we started to really think about our relationship to everyone1:17who passed away and since that relationship is tenuous at best because1:22it's based on information from a computer and that information is from1:26their families and we have no direct contact we started to think that it's in1:31memoriam but it's something else and another important decision that helps1:36define this is that we have drawn all the airline passengers that includes the1:43the ten terrorists that crashed into the World Trade Center,1:47because our idea about it as a historical event1:51is to capture all the people who passed away in that one moment,1:57which does include those ten humans.2:02So, moral is often connected with a way of grandizing individuals2:08individuals or making the collective mass respected by the state, by the nation, and2:16quite frankly, those ten people cannot be connected with the word memorial, ever.2:23We would never make a memorial that included those ten.2:26However, our terminology has turned to an act of remembrance.2:31So the product is an act of remembrance.2:33Sort of safe terminology, but it's very true to the way that we think.2:39We'll let the memorial people do their memorials.2:42We, however, are interested in remembering everybody.2:48And therefore, if you hear me accidentally use the word memorial, it is an accident.2:56Amy Sweeney called a ground supervisor by air phone2:59and relayed information about the hijackers that gave the FBI a head start on the investigation.3:06Mrs. Sweeney's grace under pressure did not surprise her husband, Michael Sweeney, of Acton, Massachusetts.3:13She would have said she was just doing her job, he said.3:17Mr. Sweeney hopes to be able to tell his children Jack and Anna.← Location 360Heart Four · Location 361Location 362 →
