It's a building that offers lots of details for us to look at and was a pleasant canvas to draw on.0:14There are unique patterns all over the first two stories of this building.0:18Facing north onto West 92nd Street is a black door surrounded by curving, ornate, stone-carved patterns.0:27The drawing is made directly to the right of it, and the surface it was made on is notable0:32because of a light black and orange tiger striping waving through the texture of the stone along the length of this building.0:42This is Michael Theodoridis. He was drawn in July of 2004. His drawing is counting one person.0:54There's a handful of drawings that we were really never able to come to agreement with.1:00And I mean a small handful, maybe two drawings.1:02Like with people who stopped you?1:03With people who stopped us and would not let us resume whatsoever.1:07whatsoever, you know, like would stop us mid-drawing, say, take it down. We would say, oh, you know,1:12hi, my name is Jay and this is what I'm doing. And they would say, that's great, but take it down.1:17And we'd say, well, you know, I can take it down immediately after I finished drawing and1:21documenting it. And they would say, take it down, you know, and there was no budging. That happened1:26a couple times, but only a couple times. 487 other times, we were able to reach a common ground.1:33When you're drawing, you draw with a silent prayer that no one will talk to you.1:38And I know that seems sort of antisocial.1:42Because you're living in this paranoid blend of,1:47I'm doing the right thing, but I'm doing the wrong thing.1:51Like the code of private property has been so indoctrinated into our heads1:54that we feel like we're trespassing or whatever.1:57We are all, this entire group of people, there isn't one non-law-abiding, God-fearing creature amongst us that doesn't recognize where the line is.2:09And we know that we're stepping over that line when we start drawing on someone's walls.2:16Michael had business to tend to in San Francisco, and Rama wanted to reunite with high school friends in Los Angeles for a wedding.2:25so on September 11th, the Boston couple boarded America Airlines Flight 11 together.2:31They were very much in love.2:33They wouldn't do anything without each other, her father said.← Location 363Heart Four · Location 364Location 365 →
