She was drawn in July of 2004. Her drawing is counting one person.0:45I think it takes someone with an eye for detail or at least aesthetic sense to appreciate the non-places.0:50You're memorizing the textures of walls.0:53You're actually memorizing the palette of the entire city,0:56one little space at a time.0:59And you start to memorize them in order of materials.1:04So, like, we're about to go to concrete.1:07Next one is black, flat, painted metal, slightly rusted.1:12After that, we'll be looking at a stone base and concrete.1:16After that, we're going to be inside of a slightly dilapidated brick with poor mortar surface.1:23And you're not just pulling this out of your ass.1:24You actually remember these specific locations, specific walls.1:27After that, we'll be looking at a wall that used to be there.1:31And that was a raw wood plywood with no other marks on it whatsoever.1:38We drew a sitting figure on that.1:40We're memorizing and experiencing points.1:43And those points become so embedded in your mind.1:46that are there, when we take a bus out of New York City and you're traveling north, you know,1:52I'm in heart one. Now I'm in heart two. Now I'm in heart three. Just weeks ago, the couple became1:59empty nesters when their youngest son, Nate, became a freshman at Fordham University.2:05We were going to be alone together, Stephen Holland said. We had a lot of plans. She was2:11in the midst of planning the second half of her life.
