There is one door on the0:15south side of the street. It's labeled Entrance at 115th Street with an arrow pointing to the left.0:20To the right of this entrance is a single window and a set of double windows. The space between0:25them was the blank canvas that we applied our tape to to make this drawing.0:32This is Keith Roy Marcellus Maynard. He was drawn in July of 2004. His drawing is0:40counting one person. Do you have plans to write to the family members of the0:47victims and let them know about the project or how do you want information0:51of this to be disseminated? And I suppose when people listen to this it will have0:55but I'm curious to know what your thoughts are, what your plan is.0:59The plan?1:01Jay throws up his hands.1:03We have a plan, but how the plan will play out, we have no idea.1:08You know, it's in its infancy right now,1:10and every plan we've had for this project and its infancy1:15ended up being different than...1:17To varying degrees.1:19You know, some things that were conceived are taking shape1:23more or less as they were conceived and other things have changed dramatically.1:26But Mike should say this.1:28Yeah.1:30The execution is in its infancy. The plan is one of the oldest weathered hags of this project.1:38The plan has been from the very beginning that we would finish the project in one year.1:46We're on year five.1:47We're near five right now.1:49And then we would contact the families.1:53And then we're going to contact the families.1:56And that was it.1:57That was the plan.1:59No press.2:02Contact the families.2:05So the families know about it.2:06And then let the families do what they will with it.2:16Keith Roy Maynard was black. He was also a firefighter.2:20Those two things meant everything to him, said his twin brother Kevin.2:24People do look to you, he said. You're like a role model in a sense,2:28especially in the black community where there aren't many black firefighters.2:33Mr. Maynard visited predominantly black neighborhoods to encourage others to take2:37the fire department test.
