His drawing is counting one person.0:32The ironic thing as far as the insinuation0:35that this was a Harlem experience was that0:39less than a block away, this different group of white0:43kids were talking to a local0:47resident who was absolutely0:51enthusiastic about the drawing and wanted to know as much information0:55as he could. He was involved in the arts. He was so excited that we had taken the risk1:01to come out there and share the work. No one ever comes up here to just sort of randomly1:07make things, and he was so nice. And he sort of stuck with us for a couple of drawings1:12walking with us. Remember that man? Yeah. Didn't he have braids in his hair? Yeah, I1:17think he did. He shared a chocolate bar, too. It was an interesting contrast of events happening1:23happening at the exact same time.1:26It's just one block away, the sort of polar opposite response to what we were doing is1:32the best and the worst you can expect we experienced within 20 minutes of each other.1:40But that anecdote is kind of amazing as far as it being the worst case scenario.1:44In some ways it seems like one of the most powerful interactions to have come out of1:50this experience.1:51[unclear], it's definitely one of them1:54He was so good at jeopardy that other firefighters thought he was watching reruns of shows he had already seen2:01He was confident enough to marry a woman almost as tall as he and as much of an athlete2:06When Kate and Bob McPatton played one-on-one basketball, he won the scrambles.
