He was drawn in July of 2004.0:27His drawing is counting one person.0:31So for all of our listeners at home, to reiterate,0:34we're working our way down the eastern curvature of Heart 4,0:41starting in the cleavage of the heart and going back down to Central Park.0:47We're heading north.0:49Oh, but then we're going to go on the eastern.0:51We're going to do a new park altogether.0:53No, but I mean eventually today we're going to end up back at Central Park.0:55Yes, we'll curve back towards it.0:58So what's up next?1:00So up here, just around the corner on the left, on those series of days when we were working the drawings through here, we had a young friend named Karen with us.1:09And what I particularly like about this site at the base of this building on the edge of this handicap access ramp is the one drawing that she made.1:21So it took her a while.1:23We traditionally can knock a drawing out in five minutes,1:27and it took her a solid 15 minutes,1:28and we just really felt it was important for her1:30to feel the entire sensation of drawing1:35and all the love of drawing and the fear of drawing,1:39that fine mixture.1:49He was the glass is half full kind of guy.1:53That's how he viewed life.1:55He seized each day and worked it to the point of near exhaustion, his brother said.2:00Then he'd do it all over again the next day.2:03Always game for new adventure, Douglas immersed himself in a variety of hobbies over the years, including hiking and bicycling.2:12Golf was his most recent passion, his brother said.2:15Somewhat of an audiophile, he had an eclectic taste in music, ranging from Elton John to John.← Location 422Heart Four · Location 423Location 424 →
