Behind that fence0:16is the playground for Con Edison. The vehicles are parked there as well as a smorgasbord of0:22construction materials. We made this drawing on the red slats approximately 20 feet to the right0:28of a small wall constructed out of thick yellow brick.0:31His chain-link fence is divided by its vertical supportive struts,0:36and his drawing's location was in the third frame section from the right.0:41This is Richard [unclear].0:43He was drawn in July of 2004.0:47His drawing is counting one person.0:50See that building over there with the concrete side and so forth?0:53Our drawing was done on a construction wall in front of that.0:58nothingness. And so this is another example that in two years1:01that's a new building. It's a cool looking building. Sorry Jay, you were saying.1:06There's so many really rich instances1:08of creativity in the website and it's1:13sort of disheartening to watch people browse it and1:16not only not enjoy those moments1:19or explore those moments or explore for those moments1:23but to be confused and put off by them which we1:28really didn't see coming to our air, I guess.1:32End user testing?1:35What's that?1:36Well, it's just like inviting people to use the site1:38as it's being developed and having them give you feedback1:41like, I don't understand this part right here.1:43How do I navigate?1:44And then you say, oh, that's not obvious?1:46OK, I guess we need to change that.1:48And it's the fact that that wasn't going on and couldn't1:51really be going on.1:52Mike and I understood at a certain point1:55that the feedback loop was tiny and the process of just Mike and I sitting in a2:02room having these conversations that lacked so much context created new2:08problems for us but at the same time it did allow us to work at a pace that2:14we've never paralleled since because we weren't seeking lots of feedback and2:19because it was sort of Mike and I making the shots as we call them we got a lot2:26When eight-year-old Richard Muldowney moved on to Davidson Place in Freeport in 1969,2:33he and his back front's neighbors formed their own fire department,2:37building a small pumper out of wood scraps.2:41Every time the real fire whistles would blow,2:43all the kids would run to my garage and roll this fire truck out,2:47hook up our garden hoses to the neighbors' houses,2:50and kind of pretend there was a fire,2:51Remembered Raymond McGuire, Executive Director of the Freeport Friar Department and Muldownie's childhood neighbor.← Location 454Heart Four · Location 455Location 456 →
