She was drawn in July of 2004. Her drawing is counting one person.1:06This retractable metal gate that now says no parking was where the mother and daughter pair were drawn together sort of facing each other.1:15It's really nice because I remember Jay drew it. It was the last drawing of the day so there was this really nice soft light.1:20and it was just because it was the last drawing there was more time to reflect on it.1:25It's the best drawing I did for the project.1:29This drawing and another drawing that I had done of a family of three1:35on one of the staircase walls of the park where I joined you guys for the day.1:39But this drawing, this drawing stands apart.1:42I feel like it gave the mother and the child proper weight in relation to one another1:48and then the space by and large.1:50It wasn't clear if the child was pulling the mother1:53or the mother was sort of like leading the child.1:56How I think a relationship between a mother and daughter might stand strong.2:00The wall's been repainted since the drawings have been done,2:05and I remember the wall having some really beautiful tonal variations and purples,2:11and also the light of the day was fading,2:14and that I think also lent a certain quality to the drawing.2:20She was only four, but already Juliana, nicknamed Miss J,2:25displayed a little sense of wit, and she was a nurturer,2:29like her mother, Miss Scott said.← Location 472Heart Four · Location 473Location 474 →
