Enter that path.0:19In about two dozen yards, you'll have an option to peel off to the right onto a wooden bridge crossing over Marshy Swampy Land.0:27At the end of the bridge, the path forks. Take the right hand fork. This path will head towards the lake and then bend back around and you'll find yourself facing an aqueduct-like structure with one entrance to pass through.0:44A little further down you meet three stairs and an option to head to the right or the left.0:52Peel off to the right. Keep turning to the right and you'll find yourself at the bottom of a series1:00of two set of stairs. As you walk up the stairs you find yourself completely surrounded by a1:07forest with no indication of the city anywhere. At the top of the stairs the path goes right and1:14left and go left. As you turn left you'll be heading down a steep incline with a guard1:20rail on the right hand side. This path leads to an intersection of several paths. Take1:28the path to the right heading towards the lake. As you're walking down the path eventually1:35you'll see a decorative street lamp on your right. Shortly after that street lamp on the1:39On the right is a view, cropped by trees, of the rock that we did the drawing on.1:45If you're feeling adventurous, you could leave the asphalt path and enter onto a dirt path1:52filled with roots and work your way towards the lake.1:56You'll find yourself staring at a rock about the size of a mammoth elephant just offshore.2:03If you're feeling even more adventurous and the tide is low, there's usually a collection2:09of logs and sticks that allow you access to this rock.2:13The drawing was made in snow on the east surface of this large solid mass.2:20This is Judith Camilla Larocque.2:23She was drawn in March of 2003.2:27Her drawing is counting five people.2:31This drawing was done in the winter of 2003.2:34New York was buried in ice and snow,2:36and we were excited at the possibilities it gave us for making images.2:41The trek to find this location was delightfully uninformed.2:44After parading around in the woods for a bit,2:46we found ourselves on the shore of the lake.2:49Determining our position by the shape of the shoreline on the map,2:52we were able to confidently declare that we were, in fact, in the right location.2:56location. A rock about 10 feet away from the shore provided the furthest we could get out into the3:01water to draw. The lake was far from frozen solid, and I set out to navigate the icy tops of broken3:08tree limbs that jutted up from the breaking lake ice. Crawling from point to point across the top3:14of the limbs, I hoped for the obvious, not to fall into the water, and for the non-obvious,3:19to get close enough to the rock to draw on it.3:23I precariously bounced on one foot,3:25planted on a shifting tree limb,3:27and with my bare hands clawed out the icy snow from atop the rock.3:31The more I felt my feet slipping, the harder and faster I clawed.3:35I did my best to draw Judith LaRocque3:38so that we could take pictures of it from the shore3:41and it would look good.3:44According to our map, at some point we will need to get out3:47into the middle of the lake somehow to draw.3:51guess we'll figure that out in the springtime judy laroque founded and led a small company3:57in framingham massachusetts called market perspectives and she had a golden retriever4:02named nabu they were pillars in her life said her daughter carrie and danielle lamac more than that4:09the dog and the company were her children too miss laroque 50 had been seeking a new balance4:16of work and life recently, and did so with the intensity she brought to everything.4:21She walked 60 miles for a breast cancer fundraiser in May.← Location 280Heart Three · Location 281Location 282 →
