She was drawn in June of 2003. Her drawing is counting ten people.0:56This drawing is the product of sticking to the challenges and literalness of having the figures drawn in locations that, when pieced together, form a heart.1:07This drawing, according to our map, was in the middle of the lake.1:11Joe, Andrew, Jay, Adriana, and myself set out to make the appropriate life-size silhouette out of sticks lashed together with our tape.1:21When completed, we put tape on either side of the sticks to create the closest estimation we could1:26to a three-dimensional tape art figure. This representation of Sara Elizabeth Low was then1:34carefully brought to the water's edge and laid on its surface. Now all we had to do was float1:40the figure out about 50 yards. Swimming was not an option, and a man with a robust, remote-controlled1:46boat offered no solution either. We found our savior in the form of a mother and son canoeing1:52by our location. The boy used a stick to hold on to the figure and the mom rode it slowly away from1:58shore. When it reached its correct location in the center of the lake, we hollered out for the2:04drawing to be let go. And with this creation of Sara Elizabeth Low floating on cool water, we have2:10officially finished off half of heart three.2:14Sara Elizabeth Low was poised, collected, yet prone to sudden streaks of silliness,2:19a personality to calm even the most enraged traveler, and her job sated her wanderlust,2:25her need for cosmopolitan glamour.2:28In the summer, she'd phone from San Francisco or Vancouver because she loved that she had2:33to wear a sweater, rubbing it in about how hot and humid it is in Arkansas.← Location 279Heart Three · Location 280Location 281 →
