It read 240.0:11As of spring 2006, that address has been smashed off and dangling pieces of concrete on rebar swing back and forth over this marked and tattered black metal door.0:23Just to the right of it, and under a sign that reads refrigeration, is a brown surface that hosted this drawing.0:31This is Michael R Horrocks.0:34He was drawn in July of 2004.0:37His drawing is counting one person.0:42Yesterday in the restaurant, one of the things you and Mike mentioned0:46was wanting to talk about the project being over.0:49It's difficult to talk about because the project over the course of the years0:53at different times and for different reasons has been over and finished.0:58and in certain ways for some of us it is over and finished.1:02And it's been a trying project for everyone involved1:05and most trying for the people who have been most involved in it.1:10I think that's fair to say.1:11And then some people by proxy,1:13maybe not necessarily working on the drawings or the webpages the most,1:18but just spending a lot of time1:20or attempting to spend a lot of time with the people who are.1:23I worked with Mike over the course of a year primarily.1:28most notably for nine months,1:30nine o'clock in the morning till 11 o'clock at night,1:32taking time only to eat meals.1:34Saturday was your only day off.1:36Saturday was my only day off, so six days a week,1:38working that schedule.1:39And Saturday just became an attempt to, like,1:41hold the pieces of my life together,1:43like do banking, pay bills,1:46take care of the little odds and ends,1:48and then, like, maybe rent a DVD from the library1:51and fall asleep.1:52And were you guys living together at this point, too?1:55Yes and no.1:56I mean, I felt like I lived with him.1:58We spent far more time together than whoever it was that we were living with at the time.2:03And we got along really, really well for the vast majority of that time.2:08Our friendship stands strong to this day, but in the same breadth, our lives were not balanced.2:13And we were well aware of that.2:15And as a result of that lack of balance, the projects I've chosen to pursue since that span of 2003, 2004,2:28have not centered around the Hope Project.2:30I've pitched in at times and to varying degrees,2:33but for me, in most ways, the project is done.2:39Michael Horrocks was serving as co-pilot on United Flight 175.2:44The 38-year-old native of suburban Philadelphia had two children,2:49a son in first grade and a daughter in fourth.2:52Miriam Horrocks is a gym teacher at a nearby grade school.2:55Horrocks was a retired Marine and was a quarterback at Westchester.← Location 442Heart Four · Location 443Location 444 →
