He was drawn in July of 2004. His drawing is counting one person.0:21I'm just saying that if you ask the question, what's the relationship, my first instinct is to say a good one.0:25It's actually really quite nice.0:27The extension of that is because every single name,0:30all 2,749 have been treated individually in a respectful manner.0:39So respectful that we have spent innumerable hours0:42trying to make sure that those are in fact the names we're trying to respect in the first place.0:46And it drives us nutty to look at websites0:50sites that do not treat the names with the same degree of obvious integrity or to use that word0:59again respect you can think of dozens and dozens and dozens and dozens of examples where basically1:06a standard memorial page on the internet is you copy and paste every single name you literally1:13just copy you paste it on your site and you say this is this is the way i'm memorializing them by1:19posting what can someone explain like they're using and the word memorial is1:24used for that this is something they did by perpetuating the names and creating1:31another oasis for that information to exist on the web but the lists are out1:37of date it's rare that you actually have the right names it may have been a1:42moment of spontaneity so it's reflecting like the time when the name were wrong1:47and when I say our relationship to the victims is a good one I'm saying that we1:52have a relationship because we have poured over the details of their lives2:00the details of the information that exists on them on the web and have been2:06grouping them and reassigning them associations recontextualizing the2:10the entire event and trying to share those efforts with other people.2:17In 2011, where his grandfather, father, and two brothers were police officers, Thomas2:23O'Hagan's decision to become a firefighter and later be promoted to lieutenant set him2:28apart.2:29Tom was very different from the rest of us, said the eldest of the five O'Hagan brothers,2:33Frank O'Hagan, a banker.2:35While the rest of us are kind of quiet, Tom was very loquacious and extremely generous2:41with his time, money, and advice.← Location 475Heart Four · Location 476Location 477 →
