Mello. He was drawn in June of 2003. His drawing is counting three people.0:40There are so many wonderful people. This entire project has facilitated a continuous stream of0:47interactions with amazing people. The corner of a florist shop provided a great location to draw.0:53It looked like a perfect opportunity to ask for permission.0:58I went inside and met a kind, gentle, soft-spoken florist.1:02Without hesitation, he gave me permission.1:05It was such a reward to be given his blessing.1:08Having him be so convicted and supportive in his straightforward manner gave me such1:13a great rush of energy and joy.1:15I went back outside to perform the task with a steady heart, tempered by inner peace and1:20in a rush of excitement.1:23Christopher D. Mello was handsome.1:26He had a kinetic smile, said his father.1:28He was athletic.1:30He led his high school football team to the New York State Finals.1:33He was polite.1:34He wrote a thank-you note to his interviewer after getting into Princeton.1:39In Boston, where he worked as an analyst for Alta Communications,1:42he took up boxing.1:44But Mr. Mello was also a poet, a film buff, and an artist.1:47Mr. Mello created his own cartoon characters and would doodle during pauses in his countless conference calls.1:542,000 people came to the wake after he died on Flight 11. He was 25.← Location 299Heart Three · Location 300Location 301 →
